Natural attractions:

Natural monument “Piedra de Santo Domingo”:

This interesting rock formation is located in Oritapo beach. It can be seen from the road between Oritapo and Todasana. Make a stop to take some pictures. (10 minutes from Hotel Egua).

Todasana Beach:

An oceanic beach, ideal for surfing and body boarding. The beach is connected to Todasana river mouth. Many estuarine birds arrive to this place during the afternoon. The tranquil river makes this place perfect for families (5 minutes from Hotel Egua).

Playa Grande or Playa Larga (“Long beach”):

It has two names but both are related to the length of this beautiful beach! It is the most popular place among visitors, ideal for surfing and body boarding. It is a wild beach with high waves. Many videos and commercials have been shot here. You can buy the famous “guarapita” and local hand made craft. (5 minutes from Hotel Egua).

Urama Beach:

It is a family beach. There are beautiful rock formations that make natural pools for kids and the whole family. At the end of the beach there is a cave call “Cueva del murciélago” (7 minutes from Hotel Egua).

“Cueva del Murciélago” (Bat´s cave):

The cave is located at the eastward end of Urama beach. Its name means “Bat´s cave”. This rock formation is between two beaches. It has three holes and waves can get inside the cave thru one of them.  During low tide it is possible to get thru the cave from Urama and rich a small beach. (7 minutes from Hotel Egua)

“El Salto” or “Chorrerón”:

This water fall is about 15m high with a natural pool of 3m depth. There are many concave rocks along the river. Enjoy one of them as your own natural jacuzzi. (15 minutes from Hotel Egua).

Paraíso Beach and Santa Clara:

If you have a 4 wheel drive Santa Clara rout is a must. After “El Salto” the road starts under Santa Clara Bridge. This old rout was built to reach coconut “haciendas”. It is surrounded by exotic vegetation. Ideal for people who want to test their 4 x 4 vehicles. At the end of the road there is a solitary beach of few kilometers length with wonderful ocean views (20 minutes from Hotel Egua)
